KICKED

1. Joining the Server

The server is now full at 62/64 so if you join at 63 or 64 you will be kicked. We cannot change the in-game message that appears when this happens. (If we could, it should Say "Sorry, the last 2 slots are reserved"). Dont take this personally - you're not being kicked because we don't like you. It's a limitation within the BF2 engine interacting with our Admin software.

2. You Must Join a Squad

Joining a squad is a requirement on this server or you will be kicked.

It reminds you though.




3. Punkbuster Kicks You

We cant control what punkbuster kicks for (i.e. detecting known cheat, unable to talk to your local PB client, refulsal for the PB client to submit a screen shot, MD5 hash mismatch of game files, etc..) hence, it might kick you without our knowledge - so dont complain to us.

4. No Locked Squads when server is full

Since everyone must join a squad, it is imperative that one does not lock one's squad when the server is experiencing large numbers of players. Please unlock your squad when you see 6-7 squads already created, as there is a limit of 9 squads in total.

5. Single-seating mutli-player crewed assets.

Do not "single seat" vehicles which are obviously meant for multi-crew operation, such as the Challenger Tank, APC, or Scimitar.

There are exceptions where a good scimitar driver can single-seat, although you should never engage at close distance, and keep yourself far away from harms way and enganging from distance w/your zoom. Remember to move around frequently so that the enemy does not ambush you from behind. If you single seat an assett, drive it directly into an enemy position, and have it blown up in 15 seconds, you may be kicked by an admin for wasting the asset.

Remember that Capital Assets (MBT, APC, Heli, etc..) all cost -10 tickets if you have them destroyed, plus -1 for your own death. Thats a total of 11 tickets; and the British only start with 300 tickets to begin with. Losing 3 capital assets in one round, and you are responsible for > 10% of the ticket loss to the team, while only being 1/32'nd of the actual active players on your side.

Single-Seating the Challenger (C2) Main Battle Tank (MBT) is simply NOT allowed. This is not "running with scissors" bad, it's more akin to "licking plutonium" bad, and will be dealt with by an Admin upon sight. We would much rather lose -1 ticket by kicking you off the server, rather than -11 tickets when you ultimately die in 60 seconds because you can't Drive and Gun at the same time.

6. Do not TK Punish for things that are clearly an accident / your fault.

Running into a well marked, friendly mine; being blown up, and then TK punishing the mine layer is absolutely stupid. Use your eyes and your map to note the large red skull and crossbones. Likewise, if engaged from distance, or a friendly grenade goes off too close to you while in battle, do NOT punish for this. This is war, and blue-on-blue casualties are inevitable.

Reserve the TK punish for those individuals who are obviously "griefing" and whom are purpousely TKing other players. The Admins are watching for TK Punishes in order to see which players need "to be shown the door" during gameplay. TK punishing where it was an accident (and/or your own damned fault) does not help in identifying players that need to be ejected.

Additionally, please post their names/actions in our forum subsection called "problem players", and they will be dealt with.

7. Squadleaders (SLs) reserve the right to kick out anyone from their squad.

The Squad Leader is your best way of maintaining position on the map. He is the only one that can set Rally points; hence it's imperitive to keep close to your SL, engage targets that he/she designates, and rally together to place new spawnpoints.

If, for example, you join a Squad named "INFANTRY", and then proceed to go fly the helicopter, you can (and should) be kicked from that squad; unless you were specifically designated to do that action. (You should have previously looked to see if a squad named "HELI" or "AIR TRANSPORT" has already been formed - See Rule # 5 Above).

The SL is forming a group because he/she wants to have like-minded people in the same squad. If you are NOT interested in following the SL's direction, please leave the squad and form your own squad (or, alternatively, join up with a squad that is already doing what you wanted to do, such as drive ARMOR - i.e. looked for a "Named Squad" which is more to your liking).

Joining an ARMOR group, and asking "So, wheres our rally point?!? Can I be a Sn1P3Rz!!1?" should result in your immediate kicking from the squad.

As a followon from being kicked from a squad - If an SL kicks you from the squad, and you return to "bitch him out", you will be ejected form the game for lacking common sense, and reffered to this page (and this rule specifically) upon your untimely exit from the game.

8. The !vk (In-Game Vote Kick) Function

If you pissed off a lot of people and no admins are around people may start a "vote kick" using !vk <playername> and if you get 10 !vk's you will be kicked for 10 minutes.

Banned

1. Teamkilling

If you teamkill and are punished more than 5 times you will be banned from the server for 24 hours, unless an admin bans you in which case you may want to post here to get it removed or it will be a 1 round ban.

2. Team Switching

Teamswitching is not allow on this server period so you may be banned for 1 round

3. Teamkilling a Cache

Destroying insurgent cashes while being an insurgent is not allowed and it ruins game play. You are most likely going to recive a 1 round ban if an admin see you do this.

4. Permanent Bans

These are not usually handed out easily and you would have to have pissed off an admin really bad. To have it removed post here http://www.thebattlearena.com/forum/forum3.html

*Note*

If you are banned for 1 round it will say (bad boy) in the ban reason.

Gameplay

1. All areas of the map are "fair game".

This is war - not a kindergarten recess class. All areas of the map are considered "in play" and valid. Hence, an APC caping the Palace spawn, Snipers near the Mosque, or Insurgents camping the Airbase exit with IEDs and driving "Big Red" into the British Airbase destroying the Capital Assets are all considered Valid Tactics.

Either deal with the spawnrapers by spawning elsewhere (Insurgents have many spawnpoints all over the map to choose from), or fight back in the case of the British by rolling out your armor defensively and crushing the spawnrapers / bombcars before they can do any further damage to you.

If the Brits are trapped at the Airport, and are being spawncamped by Technicals, IEDs, RPGs and so forth - Don't complain to the Admins. You should have created a Firebase or a Bunker elsewhere on the map so that this does not happen. If you lack a Commander on your team - either STEP UP and become the commander and take charge to rectify the mess youve made for yourself, or; don't complain about getting spawnkilled. It's your own fault for having gotten yourself into this mess.

Insurg have it easier, due ot the large number of alternae spawn points available. Insurgents always have at least 2 places to spawn on the Map (Mosque, and Palace) even if all the temporary rallypoints have been destroyed.


2. No Recruiting / Advertisements.

Subject speaks for itself. Please do not recruit for Clan Members, promote your own server, or other such blatant advertising / SPAM / etc..
