|
|
This is from the PR manual:
| Quote: | In Insurgency the coalition team needs to
take out insurgent weapons caches. They can
be located by gathering intelligence. As more
intelligence is gathered red diamond
markers appear on the map showing
the rough area of the weapons caches
(they may be up to 140m from the
marker). Once you have found one of the
caches you can destroy it with explosives or
heavy weapons. Once destroyed the
coalition gains 10 tickets and a message will inform
you on how many caches remain to be demolished. A maximum of 3
caches are in the game world at the same time
In Insurgency the insurgent team has to prevent the coalition from
destroying the weapons caches until the time runs out or the
coalition runs out of tickets. The caches are initially marked by purple
markers on your map. Once the coalition team gains intelligence on the
whereabouts of a weapons cache, it will be flagged with the blue
diamond marker.
Intelligence
To reveal the approximate location of insurgent weapons caches while playing
Insurgency intelligence has to be gathered. The following list shows the
amount of intelligence points gained or lost due to different actions.
Insurgent killed: 1 IP
Civilian or insurgent arrested (knifed): 7 IP
Civilian killed (Under penalty conditions): -7 IP
Insurgent officer killed: 7 IP
Insurgent officer arrested: 14 IP
The approximate location of the first cache is shown at the start of the round.
An additional location will be revealed 60 seconds after 30 IP are collected by
the team. The IP necessary to reveal the next cache are increased by 3. The
total amount of IPs needed to see 10 locations is 378 (30 + 33 + 36 + 39 + 42
+ 45 + 48 + 51 + 54). Since weapons caches may be found and destroyed
before their location has been revealed, it is unlikely that the full amount of IPs
will be needed to reveal the locations of all undestroyed caches.
The Civilian
The insurgent players can choose a civilian kit which
does not contain any weapons (except for stones).
Civilians die when picking up dropped kits or if they
man stationary or vehicle weapons. Civilians can
not assist in capturing CPs.
If you shoot civilians you will face several penalties:
After your next death you will respawn 60 seconds later per civilian shot
(stacks up to 4 minutes additional delay)
You will not be able to request any limited kits for 10 minutes
Your score is reduced by 25 and the kill will not be listed on the scoreboard
Your team loses 7 intelligence points
The civilian player will respawn after only 10 seconds and his death will be
ignored for all intents and purposes
If you shoot 3 civilians within 10 minutes you will be killed immediately
to simulate you being arrested and court-martialed
You can arrest civilians which is currently implemented by knifing them.
Civilians that suicide are counted as arrested. When you arrest a civilian:
Your team gains 10 tickets
Your team gains 7 intelligence points
The civilian player takes 60 seconds longer to respawn
Civilians may only be run over with a vehicle or shot while using vehicles without any penalty or bonus. |
I'd like to add some points which dont stand/stand in the manual:
British Forces
British Forces are a regular army with many vehicles and aircrafts, kits, weapons and equipment. They can build structures such as: Bunkers, Firebases, Sandbags etc. and they send Laser targets, place Red mine markers and all that kind of stuff which is meant in the manual. Most of tips that you can see while loading a map are made for the regular armys, READ THEM.
Insurgent Forces
Insurgent forces are not a regular army. They do not have armored vehicles or aircrafts, they can not request any kits (only pick up dropped ones or the ones which are next to a RP or a weapons cache), they can not build any structures, they can not place Rally Points, they can not be revived (when they get shot they die without being critical wounded) and the team play is a little bit different than on regular army.
The main and the only one objective is to defend the weapons caches and keep the spawn points alive.
Weapons Cache
Destructible insurgent spawn (Rally point)
Tickets
The Insurgent team does not lose any tickets no matter if a cache was destroyed or a insurgent killed. They always have 9999 tickets from the beginning to the end of the round.
British team have only 300 tickets at the beginning. They gain 10 tickets when they destroy a weapons cache or arrest a civilian (suiciding civilians give 5 tickets each suicide). They lose 10 tickets when a armored vehicle (Tank, APC, Scimitar) or a helicopter were destroyed. They do not lose or gain tickets when a structure was built/destroyed, structures don't influence the tickets. When a brit destroys or crashes his own vehicle the team does not lose any tickets, it has to be destroyed by the enemy. The brits have enough time to destroy the caches so they mustn't waste their tickets, keep your vehicles alive !
The Civilian
The civilian can be useful when his abilities are used properly. It is better always to have armed support while being civilian and not run around alone or at least be somewhere where you are safe (Street lamps, building roofs without ladders etc.) Civilian squads without armed support ''give'' the tickets to the enemy and they shouldn't be created at all. Enemy gets 10 tickets and 7 IP when aressting a civilian. Civilian suicide gives 5 tickets and 7 IP to the enemy (the civilian sucides when he falls down from high altitude, when he crashes a vehicle, picks up a dropped kit, uses stationary/vehicle weapons, presses the suicide button in the spawn screen and all other deaths that aren't caused by an enemy or a teammate is a suicide). The enemy doesn't gain tickets and IP when civilian was run over with a vehicle, killed in a vehicle or when he was teamkilled. The civilian wrench does not repair bridges, it only repairs vehicles. The civilian looks like an Insurgent or Cell leader from big distance with the white shirt, but he doesn't carry weapons and doesn't have red shawl on his head.
Civilian
Spawn times for vehicles
The vehicles are spawning after a while when they were destroyed and not every vehicle have the same spawn time:
British vehicles:
Tank ....................... 20 minutes
APC ........................ 10 minutes
Helicopter ................ 5 minutes
Jeep ........................ 5 minutes
Support truck ........... 5 minutes
Insurgent vehicles:
Bomb truck .............. 10 minutes
Technical ................. 5 minutes
Suicide car ............... 5 minutes
Civilian car ............... 5 minutes
Only the cars at palace and east of mosque will respawn. The ones in- or outside the city will not respawn when destroyed.
